HP Jet Direct ePrint

To use the jet direct ePrint, install the HP ePrint software. Both Windows and Mac operating system supports HP jet direct ePrint.

Windows

  1. You have to download the HP ePrint software version 4.5 or above version, if you are using the windows operating systems. If you install the earlier version, you are instructed to remove and install the current version
  2. Visit hp.com/go/eprintsoftware. And click Download Software. Choose the operating system you are currently using.
  3. Select the updated version of HP ePrint software in the Software- ePrint table and click the Download button
  4. Click Run if an Open dialog box is displayed. As the firewall may prevent you from installing the software, click Allow Access and install the HP ePrint software.
  5. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen and install the HP ePrint software. Click finish to complete the installation setup.
  6. A check box which will set the HP ePrint as the default printer will be automatically selected and click ok to exit.

Mac OS

  1. Visit the site hp.com/go/eprintsoftware and download the software by clicking Download Software.
  2. Select the updated version of HP ePrint software in the Software- ePrint table and click the Download button
  3. Choose your Mac OS X version you are currently using.
  4. Choose the current version of the HP ePrint software from the Software- ePrint table and download by clicking the Download button
  5. Double click on the HP-ePrintv2.0.0.dmg file to open the installer window and run the installer by double-clicking on the HP ePrint installer
  6. If you want to download the PDF workflow component during the installation, choose the PDF Workflow team item check box. You can also download this file when you launch the HP ePrint
  7. Open Finder and open Application. Launch HP ePrint in the Hewlett-Packard folder.
  8. If you did not install the PDF workflow component during installation, download it now by clicking install and click OK to launch the HP ePrint application.

Removing The HP ePrint Software

Remove driver

  1. To remove the driver from Windows, open the control and open Devices and Printers.
  2. If you are using Windows 8, click Alt+X and select Control Panel from the list. Open the Hardware and Sound and click View Devices and Printers.
  3. Choose any of the listed printer devices to access the server properties to remove the driver
  4. Select Printer Server properties that is located in the top of the windows. Click change Driver Settings from Windows 8
  5. Select Drivers tab and click Change Driver Settings in the Windows. Select the HP ePrint item from the list and click Remove
  6. Click Remove driver and driver package and click Yes and also click the Delete button
  7. A message will be displayed Driver package deleted if the deletion is successful
  8. Click ok and click close button. To stop the HP ePrint services, restart the computer.

Windows

  1. Remove the earlier installed software to install the current version in you Windows computer
  2. In the control panel, open the Devices and Printers. If you are using Windows 8, press Alt-X and click Control panel from the list. Open the Hardware and Sound and click View Devices and Printers.
  3. To remove the device, right click on the HP ePrint and select Remove Device.
  4. Press and hold the HP ePrint icon until a box appears and select Remove Device in the Windows 8.
