HP OfficeJet 250 Offline Error
HP OfficeJet 250 printer offline printer goes offline on some times. The Printer offline message displays tells that the computer is unable to communicate with the printer. Without prior notice, the printer may go offline due to some network conditions. Then,below given are some of the common troubleshooting solutions for the offline error.
- HP Print and Scan Doctor tool
The first and foremost thing to do when your printer goes offline is using the HP Print and Scan doctor. Download the HP Print and Scan Doctor from http://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/patches/HPPSdr.exe . Next,copy and paste the URL in your web browser and you will be navigated to download the file on your computer. Open the Print and Scan Doctor. Give response the screen to find a solution for your HP OfficeJet 250 printer offline error.
- Printer default settings
Restart the printer. Search for Devices and Printer in Windows and find the icon for your originally installed printer. Continue to next step if a grey or color icon displays with a green check mark. Then,right-click icon and select Set as Default printer if a color or grey icon displays without a check mark.
Now,right-click on the icon for the default printer and pick See What’s Printing. You will see the print queue window opens. Then,click Printer. If a checkmark displays next to Pause Printing and Use Printer Offline, click each item to remove the checkmark.
- Printer restart and connection status check.

Update the printer from as HP regularly release printer updates. If the problem did not resolve, continue to the next step.
- Creating a manual connection
If you have connected your printer on network connection, you can create connections manually. Initially print the network configuration report or Wireless Test Report from your printer. Now,you can print the report from network settings or network setup menu.
Then,check for the network status of your network connection type on the printout report. Continue, if the status is connected. Otherwise the printer is detached from your network. Then,connect the printer to your network before you continue. Next,find some other information like IP Address, subnet mask and Default Gateway for your printer network and the URL for Embedded Web server. Then,click Network or Networking tab and open the page for your network type either wireless or wired.
Then,click Manual IP and click Manual IP address to fill automatically. If you do not have an option like that, type the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway using the numbers shown in the report you printed. Click Apply and try to connect to the network manually.
