HP Officejet 6954 AirPrint is a web service which helps you to use your Apple devices for printing. Now it is secure and easily print to your printer from anywhere using your Apple devices. Simple and direct printing of documents and images with increased speed using the HP Air Print printers for Apple devices. Air print, an Apple technology does not demand for driver or software installation. Documents and images could be printed from Mac, iPhone and iPad using this technology.
Then apple device should be able to use Air Print, Mac OS X Lion (v1.07), iOS 4.2, iPhone® 3GS, iPad and iPad Touch® third generation are the device that are compatible to use AirPrint services. Mail, photos, PDFs, SAFARI and other third-party apps are the compatible applications for iOS devices for AirPrint.
Check whether your firmware is compatible or not. On your Firmware, look for AirPrint. You will find AirPrint™ listed when you click Installed Personalities and then Option. If present in the list, just skip to connect the Apple device to the same wireless network as the printer. If the device does not recognize the AirPrint™, just update Firmware
Then the USB cable or Ethernet cable should be disconnected. To connect the printer to the network, you need to select Setup, Network or Wireless menu and select Wireless Setup wizard. Follow the instructions that appear on screen to connect the printer to your network.
